E X P E R I E N C E
I. Must. Create.
I simply must create; art, music, tacos - whatever the occasion demands.
Offering nearly two decades of hands-on agency acumen, plus an advertising pedigree that would make David Ogilvy blush, I aim to allow nothing unworthy between creativity and consumer.
Though most fluent in digital, I am in my element leading a multi-disciplined Creative agency team as we bring to fruition online and offline ideas for global brands, thinking less about the channel, and more about where our audience wants to be.
Executive Creative Director,
2016 - present
Currently I lead the creative, strategic and organizational vision to champion innovation + creativity, building upon the successes of the past 17 years.
In addition to the Creative purview, MAD's scrappy, can-do-attitude requires me to also be part Producer, part PA, Account Director, Media Planner, Media Buyer, Social Media Manager, drone pilot, and, on some days, Therapist.
Together we remain necessarily nimble as we support a wide range of clients; from SoFlo icons the likes of AutoNation, ACR Electronics, LaCroix, Water Taxi, & Global Eagle, to the entire TracFone family of brands, to HBO LatAm, to karaoke trailblazers Singing Machine.
More than just Creative Direction & Leadership, two decades of prior agency experience allows me to facilitate growth in every discipline, from Project Management to Quality Assurance, and everything in between, improving processes and competencies, aligning career paths, skills, agency trajectory and client goals.
I remain motivated by the possibilities we create for ourselves, especially with new technologies such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 360 video, drone video, brand architecture development, native app development, richer email experiences, and more.
Managing Creative Director,
While leading the FKQ Creative team - an experienced group of GCD’s, ACD’s, Broadcast Production Geeks, Copywriters, Art Directors, Powerpoint Wranglers, Snake Handlers (true story, bro), Illustrators, and Front-End Developers - we created big ideas for clients the likes of Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty, Melitta, McDonald’s, and more.
Senior Vice President, Magnetic Experience
2011 - 2015
I led an immensely talented group of Brand, UX, and other Creative professionals, delivering qualitative success proven by quantitative data, for brands such as On The Border, Petmate, Crayola, L'Oréal, Jiffy Lube, Shell, Michaels, The Bridge School, Dr Pepper, Travelocity, Wholly Guacamole, Del Frisco's Restaurant Group, Prime Lending and more. Brands in my past life include Eukanuba, Iams, Always, Secret, Crest, Samsung, GlaxoSmithKline, Eli Lilly, among others.
My team spearheaded the evolution of the agency's digitally-centric UX & Creative experiences, with innovation focused on the ascension of second screens into consumer lifestyles.
More than simply streamlining and delivering digital excellence, I was able to pivot and refocus our UX & Creative competencies by listening intently to the professionals on my team, and then together carve out growing contributions.
As a member of the agency's executive leadership team, I was a trusted partner to the C-suite, and an influential catalyst for organizational growth, while defining & maintaining our charted course toward long term goals.
By fostering a sense of trust with other senior level members of the agency, I was able to help their team members realize mutual success as well through effective collaboration.
By championing those who row when there isn't any wind, I inspired values which contributed to an environment of freedom, achievement, and career growth.
Initiatives developed by my team include:
· dedicated organic growth "hit squads" to proactively offer clients added value through strategic creative innovation
· content strategy advocacy and process implementation
· multi-discipline collaboration structure and strategy
· defining and employing more cost-efficient responsive design
